Molly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who loves being a part of the multidisciplinary team at Begin Within. She specializes in the field of eating disorders. Molly also has experience working with those struggling with various other issues, such as low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and negative body image. She is well-versed in individual, group, and family therapy and has worked with males and females of various ages.

Molly earned her B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and her graduate degree in Social Work from Kean University. During her undergraduate and graduate education, she interned and worked as a Mental Health Associate at the Center for Eating Disorders Care inpatient facility at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. There, she learned working with the eating disorder population was a career path she not only wanted to pursue but genuinely enjoyed. She went on to work as a primary therapist at the H.E.A.L. (healthy eating and living) program for eating disorders at GenPsych.

Molly has clinical experience in the inpatient, partial, and intensive outpatient settings for eating disorder care and is thrilled to be working within the healing environment that BeginWithin offers. She is aware of the intricacies of eating disorder treatment as it is not only an emotional and psychological journey but a physical one as well. Molly enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team to effectively treat an eating disorder and assist a client in identifying their “authentic self.” Molly will work cohesively with anyone who plays an important role in her client’s recovery (i.e., parents, loved ones, school counselors, Child Study Team members, dieticians, and psychiatrists).

She believes and personally recognizes that full recovery from an eating disorder is possible and hopes to motivate and encourage her clients to begin their own journey toward recovery. Molly’s therapeutic approach is always individualized toward the client’s needs, and she incorporates evidenced-based treatments and skills from CBT, Person-Centered Theory, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing. She understands therapy and change can be difficult but believes clients can successfully reach their recovery goals with a genuine, empathic, and trustworthy therapeutic relationship.

In her spare time, she enjoys being outside in the sunshine and simply spending time with her husband and two little girls!
